Elwood City – Roots Health Shop founder Shauna Kukunath encourages people to come here and see what it’s all about.
Located at 218 Fifth St. in Elwood City, the store offers a unique experience with over 50 natural and effective products to choose from and a complimentary cup of tea while you shop.
With a vision of opening a business to help people, Kukunath took a year off to study and perfect his business plan.
“I founded my business to help people. I just want to help people feel better,” she said.
There are two main products, elderberry infusion. Both of these are great for immune system support and pain, Kukunath said.
“But Infusion Plus has turmeric, rosemary and white willow bark added for more chronic pain and inflammation cases. Plus is a product people rave about,” she said. Told.
Other products include vitamins, herbs, teas, snacks, tinctures, oximels, daily supplements, lotions and other topical products.
“With over 50 highly effective products that I trust and believe in, you will walk in with a problem and walk away with a solution,” said Kukunath.
She focuses on custom teas and has an efficient and easy way to help people learn which tea is best for them. Kukunat has so many herbal teas to help you customize your tea.
We plan to teach classes and assist individuals with their plans by the end of the year once Kukunath is holistic health certified. The comfortable area near the front of the shop is the perfect place for casual lessons or just relaxing over a cup of tea.
“I believe God gave us everything we needed. God made all this for a reason,” she said.
Kukunath said many people know what their problem is but don’t know what it takes to solve it, which is what makes her shop unique.
“We have 12 main body systems. So we have 12 sections, each with its own symbol and a short description. Just go to each problem area and select the product you want to try. section will help you shop for products, it will make it easier for you to answer your questions,” she said.
When a friend realized the value of elderberries, Kukunath found it life-changing.
“I had two autoimmune diseases that I was struggling with. It took a long time to heal. I don’t suffer anymore. My husband, Ryan, had rheumatoid arthritis and was in pain. And the inflammation has been greatly reduced and I’m off my arthritis meds,” she said.
Kukunath was also influenced by her experiences while attending nursing school.
“I got fed up with the constant shoving of drugs. All drugs have side effects, so patients started taking more and more to limit the side effects,” she said.
The Kukunaths live in Elwood City with their children, Mallory, 15. Monroe, 10 years old. and Miles, 8 years old.
