Edo unveils traditional medicines board

by Universalwellnesssystems

On Thursday, Edo Traditional Medicine practitioners praised Governor okoebholo on Monday for establishing the Edo State Traditional Medicine Committee.

At the inauguration of board members from 18 local government regions, board chair Abudu Ugbesia said that if countries such as China and other Asian countries can develop traditional medicines to the level of today, Nigeria could be better.

He said he was embarrassed to praise Okpeboholo for revising the situation, ending in 2016 after the previous administration was founded by his comrade Adams Oshiomholo.

He said, “Like our governor, Senator Okupeboholo on Monday usually says, “The new Edo state is rising,” so I would like to announce that the new Edo traditional medicine committee is rising here and around the world.

Given this fact, we disinfect the traditional pharmaceutical environment of Edo. I use this opportunity to charge all traders in the state and avoid all sorts of sharp practices as I have zero tolerance for such practices.

He states: “We will change the face of Edo state merchant practices and actively change people’s notions of traditional medicines as roots and herbs are the path to pure health.

“If China and other countries can develop traditional medicines to the level of today, Nigeria can do the same even better. I would like to promise Edo State to take the lead.

“I look forward to everyone working to achieve all of this and I am grateful to you in anticipation to see your positive results.”

The inaugurated members have pledged to support the chairman for better traditional medicine practices in the state.
