Thousands of UAE residents were thrilled to complete the 30 days of workouts when this year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) kicked off on Saturday.

Led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, He gave off some fit when he shared a quick workout on InstagramIn the video, he is seen holding a kettlebell while standing on a balance board. “Day 1 #Dubai30x30,” he wrote.

Heeding Sheikh Hamdan’s call to dedicate the next 30 days to an active lifestyle, several residents headed to running tracks and cycling lanes across Dubai to complete the first 30 days of the challenge. Completed a minute of fitness.

“I am so excited that the Dubai Fitness Challenge is coming back for the first time in six years. As a fitness enthusiast, this kind of event definitely helps me reach my goal of staying fit.” said Dubai resident Arif Jabbar, who has never missed an edition of DFC.

“This year’s challenge will focus on a combination of cardio and weight training,” he added.

The DFC has over 10,000 classes lined up through November 27th. Some events and activities are also free, such as Dubai Run and Dubai Ride.

The boxing court at the Kite Beach Fitness Village was a blast from day one of the challenge, with many visitors stepping into the ring for the first time.

Fahim Armar, a new expat in Dubai, was surprised to find out that the workouts are being offered for free.

“At first I thought I would have to pay, but when I inquired I was surprised. Over the next 30 days, I will be attending some classes at Al Khawanigi or Kite Beach,” said Armour. .

“My friends are also happy to participate. I would like to thank Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for being the driving force behind this city-wide event,” he added. .

Even seniors up to 70 are ready to go all out to join the fitness frenzy.
