Concluding his post, he teased his upcoming album on PartyNextdoor, which he said would be “Flash In a Flash.”
His post about winter depression comes after he sued his parent record label, Universal Music Group, for releasing Kendrick Lamar’s I don’t like itbranding him a pedophile.
According to lawyers in the case, this caused him “personal humiliation, mental anguish and suffering, emotional distress, stress, anxiety, lost income, and other financial losses.”
However, rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden considered his legal move a disgrace that could spell the end of his career.
“There’s no unity in hip-hop. No one knows what culture means,” he slammed the Grammy winner on his podcast. “This **** is a ****** mess. It’s disgusting. And if you love this, it hurts!”
“I don’t like Karen’s playground, the aggressor, the victim,” he continued, suggesting that the lawsuit is a nugget about the spirit of hip-hop.
“You can have it all. That’s not my hip-hop,” the 44-year-old concluded. “Maybe I aged out of this **** faster than I thought.”
