Trinity — A celebration of the life of 54-year-old Dr. Faye Sevrina Wilson in Trinity, Alabama will be officiated by Reverend Albert Ingram at 11:00 am on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Luketown Cemetery in Russellville, Alabama. The public can see Dr. Wilson at Reynolds Funeral Home on Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Doctor. FAYE SEBRINA WILSON was born on September 14, 1967 to the late Mrs. Parley McGuire Wilson and Mr. Oscar Lee Wilson. She served faithfully as a member of the St. Her James Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. Dr. Wilson was born in Florence and raised in Russellville.
Alabama. She graduated from Russellville High School in 1985. After her high school graduation, Dr. Wilson majored in biology and she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In 1995 she received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Meharry Medical College. After graduating from her medical school, Dr. Wilson became the Chief Family Physician Resident at her UAB Hospital.
He joined Lawrence Medical Center (LMC) in June 1998 and served faithfully for 24 years. In August of the same year, Dr. Wilson opened a clinic in Cortland. A few years later she opened a family practice in Moulton. Dr. Wilson has since become a primary care provider to hundreds of patients at the Cortland and Moulton Clinics. As Cortland’s only doctor and one of her few remaining in Moulton, she accepted a great challenge by seeing the most needed patients in her community. At times, Dr. Wilson was caring for her three generations of the same family. She was a doctor to many and a friend to all.Dr. Wilson became a pillar of community in the part of America that needed her most. During her tenure at LMC, Dr. Wilson served as the medical director of her clinic at Lawrence Rural Health Care, medical director of her NHC long-term care at Moulton, president of the medical staff at Lawrence Medical Center, and the collaboration of her three certified nurses. acted as a person Clinic. In 2018, Dr. Wilson was appointed chief of staff at Moulton’s Lawrence Medical Center, making her the first African American and first woman to do so. Over the years, Dr. Wilson has developed a tremendous work ethic and an even better sense of humor. She is survived by: brother, Donald R. Wilson, Florida. North Carolina sisters Elziner Wilson and her Sammie Dawson. her sister-in-law, Nonnie Evering from Florida; Niece and nephew from North Carolina, Marcia Dennis Beatty, Alan Dawson and Jamar McDuffie. her aunt, Nellie Williams of Decatur, Alabama; cousins, Jacqueline Terry Orr of Cortland, Alabama and Michael Gibson of Decatur, Alabama; and many other dear relatives and friends.
