Robitusin is recalling several lots of honey cough syrup sold across the United States due to “microbial contamination.” According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Robitussin's parent company Haleon is recalling eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult.
The expiration date for each recalled product is from 2025 to 2026.
No illnesses or side effects had been reported to the company as of Thursday. Cough syrups are intended to relieve symptoms of colds, hay fever, influenza, or other mild respiratory illnesses.

The following products are subject to the recall:
- Robitusin Honey CF Max Day Adult 4oz: T10810 — October 31, 2025
- Robitusin Honey CF Max Day Adult 8oz: T08730, T08731, T08732, T08733 — May 31, 2025 and T10808 — September 30, 2025
- Robitussin Honey CF Max NT Adult 8oz: T08740, T08742 — June 30, 2026
Haleon notified the product's distributor and the consumer who purchased the product and provided instructions on how to return the recalled product.
The company also urged anyone who purchased any of the listed products to stop using them immediately.
