A woman is warning consumers about BodyArmor energy drink and its vitamin B6 content. She says drinking too much of it “ruined” her life and health.

TikTok user Allison Holder (@allisonholder8) recently posted a video about the situation. In the video, she says, “So I wanted to talk a little bit about how BodyArmor blew up my life.”
She explains: “Energy drinks and hydration drinks are rich in vitamin B6. All that kind of stuff. It’s flashy and trendy to take too many B vitamins, but people are quick to get energy and all that good stuff.” They probably think they can ingest things.”
How did BodyArmor “ruin” Holder’s life?
Holder was not specific about when he started taking Body Armor or how much he took. she says: “Starting around March, I started getting a little bit of numbness in three of my fingers, on both hands. By the end of the week, I had no feeling in my hands at all and my feet were getting pretty numb too. Thankfully, I couldn’t help it. I have a great doctor, she’s a young millennial, and she immediately knew it had something to do with B vitamins.”
After reading about B6’s toxicity, Holder said she learned that many other people were being misdiagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). “They haven’t been diagnosed for years. This addiction is not uncommon. It’s just not diagnosed,” she says.
This brings the holder to the PSA. “So here’s a little message to my physician friends,” she says. “If you see someone with a new-onset acute neurological disorder, increase their B vitamin levels to avoid years of wondering what’s wrong.”

The holder also has a message for BodyArmor. “And to BodyArmor, your products are toxic,” she says. “You should have a skull and crossbones. I can’t tell you how bad this is. It made my hands go numb, and then they recovered. Now I have a problem with my feet.”
She then shows a clip of herself lifting weights from six months ago. A second clip from two days ago shows her struggling to climb the stairs.
“This is all about staying hydrated,” she says. “I recommend that you all pay close attention to your vitamin B6 intake. It’s the only vitamin that can be harmful if taken in excess. The rest of you will just get mad.”
Can too much vitamin B6 cause toxicity?
Vitamin B6 is essential for brain function and a healthy immune system, but in excess it can actually cause toxicity. According to business insider“Taking too much vitamin B6 over a long period of time can cause a number of side effects, including nerve damage.”
National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements Recommended 1.5 to 1.7 milligrams of vitamin B6 for men and women over age 51. BodyArmor contains 2.55 milligrams of vitamin B6 per serving in a 2.5-serve container. Therefore, depending on how much you drink in a day, you can easily overdose on vitamin B6. This is especially true if you are getting vitamin B6 from other sources in your diet.

One user wrote, “Body Armor and most other sports hydration drinks are not meant to be consumed regularly unless you need electrolyte or vitamin supplementation.”
A second user wrote: “Yes, this is true!” Everyone should also pay attention to complex B vitamins. I had been taking this vitamin for 5 years and my vitamin B6 reached toxic levels and I developed neuropathy. I was walking with a cane. It’s even better now! ”
A third user wrote: “Just drink water. Unless you’re doing a lot of physical work and sweating a lot, or your doctor has told you to take in extra electrolytes, you really shouldn’t. All you need is water to rehydrate/rehydrate.”
