Devastated family desperate for answers after ‘amazing’ five-year-old girl dies suddenly

A devastated family desperate for answers after a ‘amazing’ 5-year-old girl died suddenly after catching what she thought was a stomach bug.

Five-year-old Isabella Grace Docherty, known as Bella, died suddenly just hours after falling ill at her home in Newart Hill, North Lanarkshire.

Pamela Little, mother of 5, explained that the family believes “nothing is a big deal” and Bella feels sick with vomiting bugs.

Pamela mentioned that the feisty girl was still asking for food and was “bossing” her family.

However, around 4:00 am after Bella’s father Brian took Bella downstairs while she was having trouble sleeping in her bed, Bella suddenly vomited and fell to the floor.

A 38-year-old mother said, daily record: ‘Brian yelled at me to come down. He held her in her arms as I entered her. I brushed her hair away from her face and my instincts told me she was gone.

“We called an ambulance and did CPR. Neighbors came to help us until the paramedics came and after that it was just a nightmare.

“I remember seeing her face and realizing that something bad had happened.

Bella died at Whishaw General Hospital on Monday, February 13, despite the best efforts of paramedics to save her life.

Last year, doctors discovered a non-life-threatening abnormality in Bella’s brain stem following an MRI scan.

However, Brian and Pamela were told this was not believed to have anything to do with their daughter’s death.

Pamela said, “She has some problems with her brain, but nothing we have been told to worry about.

“Doctors said it could be something she was born with.

Around 4 a.m., after Bella’s father Brian took Bella downstairs while she was struggling to get to bed, she suddenly threw up and fell to the floor.

“They didn’t know exactly what it was, but they may never find out now.” Unfortunately, he suddenly disappeared.

Bella’s post-mortem results were inconclusive and the family continues to await the results of further tests.

Pamela, who is also the mother of 13-year-old Ellie and 15-year-old Leon, says her family’s world has been turned upside down after Bella’s death and not having answers is “killing them in their hearts.” rice field.

About her youngest child, she said: Bella was our funny and caring little diva, and now we want the world to know how amazing she is.

Bella’s post-mortem results were inconclusive and the family continues to await the results of further tests.

A fundraising page has been set up to help pay for Bella’s funeral.
