Demi Lovato recently spoke candidly about finding “hope” after undergoing mental health treatment five times.
Speaking exclusively with Dr. Charlie Shaffer on Monday, June 3, during a healthy discussion, the 31-year-old singer opened up about the evolution.
She explained: “I’ve been to inpatient treatment five times, but every time I go back to the treatment centre I feel defeated.”
Speaking at the event hosted by Wintour and Tory Burch, the actress continued, “I know that experience firsthand, and I think the silver lining was when I started talking and building relationships with my treatment team, whether it was a job or a program.”
Lovato claimed that things “definitely felt different” after she underwent inpatient mental health treatment for the fifth time.
“I think once I started to find joy in the little things in life, that silver lining started to change, which was totally foreign to me before because I was so used to not seeing hope,” she added.
They also shared how they had experienced small changes through prescribed medications.
