Danny Sullivan’s multiple personalities in The Crowded Room explained

by Universalwellnesssystems

Dramas on Apple TV+, crowded room Follows young Danny Sullivan, arrested for public shooting. Investigators then have to delve deeper into his traumatic childhood to explain why he did what he did.

Danny Sullivan was arrested in 1979 for a burning at Rockefeller Center. Although there were no fatalities, it was still a serious crime and he was eventually arrested. However, the officers interrogating him are annoyed to find his behavior very strange and disconcerting.

The prevailing theory between the two is that his erratic behavior is simply to get away with it, and that he too is a serial killer. However, one of them happens to meet Professor Raia, who is interested in his case, and a series of sessions begin.

In these sessions, Laia investigates Danny’s past and psyche. Danny suffers from dissociative identity disorder and is eventually convinced that within him there exists a He One or He Two or more alternate identities. Here are all the transformations of Danny Sullivan shown on the show so far.

Jack

Jack is one of the many alter egos that exist within Danny Sullivan, and like all other alter egos, he is there to protect Danny. He’s an adventurous Englishman who uses wit and a salad of words to sneak out of trouble rather than face difficulties head-on like Yitzak.

He is a stark contrast to Danny’s timid, vulnerable and gentle personality. He is the definition of self-confidence, and perhaps also the most diabolical of all the Alters. That becomes apparent when he murders Yitzhak after he opines that they should all leave the initiative to Danny and perish forever.

This is not to say that Jack wants Danny harmed, his disastrous measures are merely the result of Danny’s wounded psyche, which is what it takes to maintain an alter ego and protect Danny from the outside world. It means that it will cause something or do something.

Johnny

Johnny is one of two school friends that Danny Sullivan considers to be someone else. In reality, they are just two of the personalities his mind conjured up. Johnny is the lightest in the group.

He’s a cheater type and a really hilarious guy who can pull through sticky situations well, but he also has a tendency to create those situations over and over again. But Johnny is more than just a class clown, he has a few handy tricks up his sleeve besides showing off at parties.

He has a heart and genuine courage, which Danny shows when he gets into trouble trying to secure a firearm from Angelo, who chooses to sexually abuse him as a reward. Danny is saved by Johnny before a horrific deed occurs. Johnny attacks Angelo and helps Danny escape.

Mike is the bubbly type, but he doesn’t have the usual stereotypes. He’s just a normal guy who’s athletic and has a talent for basketball.

Even though he hasn’t been in the spotlight much, he’s always there to help Danny Sullivan.

Ariana

Ariana quickly becomes Danny’s best friend the first time they meet, but at least that’s how Danny describes it in his session with Laia. She is also one of Danny’s alter ego and appears occasionally.

She is shown to be both a tormented soul and a truly strong human being, someone who shares a similar past with Danny. She disappeared after the Rockefeller Center shootings and only reappears after Danny is confronted for the first time with the truth of all these voices in her head.

Her experience is basically Danny’s past, along with Merlin’s sexual abuse, which she seems to talk to him about, but not the other alters.

Itzhak

Isaak is a middle-aged Israeli man who comes to Danny’s neighborhood and lives in a notorious haunted house. He is the one who saved Danny from school bullies and Angelo, who has returned to take revenge on her.

Leg work, hand work—any job that requires you to retaliate against Danny or throw your limbs out to protect Danny, Ysaac is the one to step up. He is also the one who suggested that he and the other alter-egos give up and perish in order to finally give Danny a chance to stand on his own feet.

However, Jack kills him for thinking so, claiming that Danny needs them and cannot live without their help.
