Scott Harrison, father of two from Herts, went from ‘middle-aged man on the wrong path’ to an inspiration to thousands with his Six Pack Revolution program
“Three years ago, I was just the kind of guy you see on the beach with 14-stone love handles, a mob, and a belly daddy.
I owned a double glazing company and that was my look. He was a boring man who would work lazily until the day he died. The moment that changed my life was at school pick-up in December 2015. As I waited, I looked at the other parents and was shocked at how tired and fat they looked.
Some were so obese that they could barely walk. And as I was sitting there judging them, I realized that I wasn’t feeling very well myself. I decided right then and there that I would never be that person again. I was going to give myself a New Year’s resolution. “Get a six pack in 90 days.”
The challenge begins
I spent the next few weeks reading everything I could about exercise and nutrition and making a plan. And on January 1, 2016, I posted a video from my phone. Facebook. “Hello, today is day one of my boyfriend’s 90 day six pack challenge. Good luck!” I said as we walked around the park in the dark.
I posted it because I wanted to hold myself accountable. But 36 of her Facebook friends asked if they could join. No problem, I said, but I wasn’t kidding and they needed to take it seriously. Most people did, but some started being rude behind their backs. They also set up a WhatsApp group called ‘We Love Cheat Meals’.
One of my friends was included by mistake and she sent me a screenshot of the insult, which only irritated me even more. My body started changing after two weeks, but the effects on my mind were immediate. I had been severely bullied at school since I was 13 years old, which led to me suffering from severe bulimia.
I have been feeling unwell almost every day for nearly 30 years. But as soon as I started properly refueling my body, I no longer felt the urge to cleanse. Each meal was a combination of healthy proteins, carbohydrates, and fats that balanced everything from mood to hormones to appetite. He also put effort into his daily training. I bought a battle rope for around £20 and loved using it so much that it became the basis of my exercise regimen. A thick rope is wrapped around a post or tree and whipped up and down or slammed into the ground.
The results said it all
With only two weeks to go, the last two parts of my six-pack popped out, and all the people who were mocking me on Facebook went very quiet. At the end of those 90 days, I felt superhuman. I lost two stone, my body was torn and my waist went from 36 inches to 30 inches. Nineteen of my Facebook friends stayed until the end, and their transformation was amazing.
More importantly, we all felt completely different. My wife was so proud when she saw me struggling with bulimia. My attitude towards life and food has completely changed. After the first program, we had so many requests that we ran another program in September. Although it’s called the “six-pack revolution” because of how it started, it’s actually not about getting abs like a bodybuilder.
It was so successful that I ended up selling my company, getting certified in nutrition and personal training, and making fitness my full-time job. Since then, I have taken over 5,000 people from 40 countries on this 90-day journey. I have trained men and women ranging in age from 18 to 73, and about 70% of them have crossed the finish line. Some members of that abusive girlfriend WhatsApp group have rejoined as paid members. This says it all. ”
How it works: Scott explains how
●” You have to commit and cheat days are prohibited, but anyone can do it.
Eat five to six delicious meals and snacks a day. You can also use protein shakes in place of meals if you prefer. There are meal plans for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans, all of which can accommodate food intolerances. I also do a 10-minute workout every day and two fitness challenges every week. No gym required. The only thing you need to buy is a battle rope. I run about six programs a year and I participate myself. ”
● “It works because I get inside your head from the beginning and you believe there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.
You will be given access to a private Facebook group where you will receive my coaching and weight loss support every day and every step of the way. It becomes a real community and everyone is rooting for you. People are starting to form romantic relationships within those groups!”
● “The program can be tailored to anyone, so it doesn’t matter how fit or fat you start out.
I had a man named Eugene (pictured below) who had cerebral palsy and had limited use of his right arm, but ended up looking like the cover of Men’s Health. Another athlete broke his leg two weeks later, but I made him practice battle ropes while seated in a chair, and by the end he had lost four stone. ”
●” The physical results are incredible – Achieving in 90 days what normally takes two years – But the thing everyone talks about most is how it affects the mind. People get lost in the program and eventually find themselves. It’s better than any six pack.
Case Study: From Beginners to Fitness Inspiration
Dean Woodhouse, 33, enjoyed the six-pack revolution so much that he decided to join the team.
“In February 2017, I was 17 years old, overweight, single, and a miserable father going through a lot of turmoil. I needed to focus my mind, so instead of relying on alcohol and food, , focused all my energy on the Six Pack Revolution. They provided me with incredible support that I have never experienced anywhere else.
We provide guided support regarding exercise and nutrition, as well as emotional support. Scott and the team were always available for consultation and help when I needed it most. Thanks to this program, not only am I in the best shape of my life, but I’m also mentally stronger than ever. Two years later, I am a great father and part of his SPF coaching team!”
