(KTXL) — A gym franchise is moving into a space that has been vacant for years.
Crunch Fitness will relocate to Arden Fair’s Market Square, the former site of the Regal United Artists Theater, which closed in October 2019.
The gym’s new location is not far from Crunch Fitness’ current location in Sacramento. Crunch Fitness, currently located at 1250 Howe Avenue, is expected to close the day before it moves to Market Square on August 17, a manager told Fox 40 News Thursday.
Commercial real estate firm Edwards Company previously told Fox 40 News that the fitness center had been under construction on a vacant lot since May.
The cinema closed after the theater’s lease expired and Regal Cinemas did not renew the lease. Sacramento Bee reported in 2019.
