California cost-sharing reduction program highlights strong support
In 2025, Covered California will provide more financial assistance to Californians than ever before. Covered California will reduce the cost of access for consumers by lowering their out-of-pocket costs, building on existing federal subsidies that help pay for health insurance premiums. We are strengthening our cost burden reduction program. All three Silver cost reduction plans are deductible.
The following people can use the self-pay burden reduction system. all Californians with incomes above 200 percent of the federal poverty level ($30,120 per person, $62,400 for a family of four) continue to receive the higher level of benefits, while those below 200 percent of the federal poverty level continue to receive the higher level of benefits. You can enjoy it.
In 2024, nearly 800,000 existing California enrollees will be taking advantage of the program, and more than 100,000 new enrollees will take advantage of these cost savings and enhanced benefits in 2025. I am eligible to receive it. That means nearly 1.1 million enrollees have already enrolled in the enhanced 2025 Silver plan. .
Almost 90% of Covered California enrollees receive financial assistance. Two-thirds of these enrollees qualify for health insurance that costs less than $10 a month, and nearly half could qualify for a comprehensive silver plan at that price.
