May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of mental health and remember that no one is alone in facing challenges.
This month, people are encouraged to: Check in with friends and loved ones and learn more about resources andreach out a hand get support For the mental health of yourself and your loved ones.
County Behavioral Health Services recommends that you receive the following services: 30 days of mental wellness practicea free and friendly way to participate in daily self-care activities.
“Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of taking care of our minds and emotions,” said Dr. Luke Bergman, director of county behavioral health services. “The 30-Day Mental Wellness Practice is a great way to start and try new self-care activities, and we want people to make it part of their daily lives.”
The 30-day mental wellness kit includes 40 self-care practices and activity worksheets, a phone wallpaper, and more. All materials are available in both English and Spanish.
Self-care activities include developing a nighttime routine, trying a new recipe, calling a loved one, doing a digital detox for the day, coloring, or watching a sunset.
Resources are available to help people experiencing AMGut health challenges that can affect your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and mood.

Services for the elderly

By providing education, we serve older adults in need of specialized support services. .
