Contract termination letters sent out to Tulsa County mental health providers

by Universalwellnesssystems

Tulsa County – Management and Enterprise Services offices have sent letters to Tulsa County mental health providers Grand Mental Health, Cleox, and Family & Children’s Services, saying the contract will effectively end May 10th.

Grand Mental Health said it had communicated with ODMHSAS to resolve the issue but had not received a formal resolution.

Grand Mental Health has sent a statement saying:

“Today I received an email from Oklahoma Management & Enterprise Services (OMES). Tulsa County’s Certified Community Behavioral Medical Clinic (CCBHC) status ended May 10. Explaining why we freeze our funds, it is linked to the end of Tulsa County services. Public school students, law enforcement officers, first responders, community partners, and more. The bigger bearings to the Tulsa community are the immediate closure of the Tulsa Emergency Recovery Center and the 250-bed residential addiction treatment center (state largest) (state largest) – And now we employ over 600 staff in Tulsa, which is important in the loss of social services, including economic impact. We have been in touch with ODMHSA to resolve this issue, but at the time of this notice, we have not received a formal resolution. As we work towards a hopeful resolution, we will continue to provide all our services in Tulsa until the end of the contract on May 10th.

The CEO of Creoks Health Services has submitted the following statement:

“We have contacted state officials to clarify the contract status of the CCBHC. We are waiting for more information, but we will continue to provide these important services without any disruption. We are communicating with the office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to learn more about this situation.

“We have served in the Tulsa Metro area for over 40 years and look forward to continuing this important work in our community. Oklahomans who need our services rely on us to provide high quality care and will continue to provide less than this contractual problem. Patients are always the first to come.”

2 News reach out to families and children’s services and await a response.
