TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has announced that consumers who are too many for generic prescription drugs could be eligible for compensation from a $49.1 million settlement with the two manufacturers.
Apotex in Toronto and Heritage Pharmaceuticals in Eatontown, New Jersey have been accused of artificially inflated prices and limiting competition for many common prescription drugs, according to the Ag Yost office.
“This was a conspiracy that was tricking the system. We don’t tolerate any conspiracy that inflates drug prices and harms Ohio, which relies on affordable drugs,” Yost said. “We are working to restore fair competition and hold fraudsters accountable.”
Consumers who purchase certain common prescription medications between May 2009 and December 2019 may be eligible for coverage. To verify eligibility, call 1-866-290-0182 or email info@aggenericdrugs.com click here.
