Fresno, California (KFSN) — Community Medical and UnitedHealthcare have reached a deal agreement three weeks after their previous contract expired, and patients face a difficult decision.
According to a statement from Community Medical Centers, senior vice president of network development Aldo De La Torre said: & Insurance Services said, “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with United Healthcare. There is no such thing,” he said.
With contracts between the community health system and three health insurance plans expiring on December 31, 2022, thousands of Valley residents were worried about the future of their health insurance.

UnitedHealthcare was one of three companies whose contracts have expired, but sources confirmed to Action News on Saturday that a deal has been finalized.

Anthem Blue Cross and Cigna remain in that section. Details of the deal with UnitedHealthcare are expected to be announced on Sunday.
