City & State New York recognizes two NYC Health + Hospital CEOs on the 2025 “Queen’s Power 100” list

NYC Health + Hospitals today announced that NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst CEO Helen Arteaga-Landaverde, MPH, PhD, NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens CEO Neil J. Moore, MBA, MPA and Fache have been recognized by city and state New York.Queen’s Power 100“2025 list. The annual award list highlights leaders from a variety of industries with important political influences that have shaped the lives of New Yorkers above Queens. Arteaga-Landaverde and Moore are leading their respective hospitals through multiple crises, raising their communities for trustworthy members, to trust patients for their members, while continuing to lead their respective hospitals and provide quality healthcare. They successfully navigated the Covid-19 crisis and promoted patient care under the leadership of Arteaga-Landaverde, organisations dedicated to covering local and state politics and policy in New York.

Helen Arteaga-Landaverde has been CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst since February 2021, becoming the first woman of color and the first Latina to lead the hospital management team. Under her leadership, Elmhurst has been recognized nationwide for her US News & World Report’s designation of Best Regional Hospital and high performance evaluations in multiple specialties. She promotes improvements in clinical quality and patient satisfaction, leading to Elmhurst becoming the first hospital she received in New York State. Joint Committee Health Equity Gold Standard certification. Previously he was Assistant Vice President of Urban Health Plan and co-founded the Plaza Del Sol Family Health Center. She holds a degree from Columbia University NYU and holds a PhD. From Cuny School of Public Health.
Neil J. Moore was appointed CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare executive leadership experience. He has a track record of driving financial and operational improvements, improving quality results and developing high-performance teams. Previously he served as President and CEO of Metropolitan Health at the University of Maryland, leading the development of key financial transformations and new community health centers. He also holds leadership roles at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, Kings County, and other NYC Health + Hospitals facilities. Most recently he led Lien Healthcare Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and financial turnarounds. Committed to community service, he worked for many boards and coached aspiring medical professionals. Moore holds degrees from St. Joseph’s College, Long Island University and New York Institute of Technology.
