Music was Chloe Bailey’s salvation.in a recent interview tamron hall showthe 24-year-old singer shared that going to the studio and writing down her thoughts through lyrics helped pull her out of various states of depression.
“You know when you’re stuck in the moment for too long and feel like you’ve been there a little too long?” she said. “It had nothing to do with my career or my music. And for me, I used music to get me out of there, my God, my mother and my family… All of those things have helped me get back into a better spirit.”
Even in that moment, Bailey tried to balance the good and the bad. “You have your ups and downs,” she added. “It’s never going to be a steady course, but at least I’m confident enough to know that this life is worth living.”
Bailey released his debut solo album last week in pieces, featuring songs such as “Make It Look Easy” and “Heart on My Sleeve”. Both records address vulnerability and self-understanding in the face of scrutiny.
“From a distance you get this perfect image. There’s nothing wrong with that person,” she said. rolling stone in a recent interview. “Then, as you get closer, little cracks appear that you have to re-glue over and over again. So it’s all about perception. We all go through a lot.”
