A delegation from Crown Heights Kashurath Authority (CHK) (led by members of Crown Heights Rabbi Beis Din) Joseph Browncompleted an extensive inspection of an Agristar meat and poultry processor in Postville, Iowa.

The rabbis spent two days in the Postville reviewing and evaluating all aspects of the plant’s operations, including beef, poultry and processed meats, examining all aspects of production from procedures and policies to personnel.
The visit was coordinated by CHK’s Director Kashuras Ravi. Joseph Kilsenbergas part of an ongoing process of reviewing and upgrading all aspects of CHK’s supervision over restaurants, food production and catering.
“This review will ensure a consistently high level of cashhrath for all products and institutions handling CHK,” said Ravi Kersenberg.
AgriStar’s management has stated that it is fully committed to achieving these high standards. The factory operates under the supervision of CHK, OU (Orthodox Union) and Rabbi.
