Chelsea defender Thiago Silva talks about his good relationship with manager Mauricio Pochettino

Silva, 39, was expected to be managed carefully by Chelsea this season. However, due to injuries to his teammates, he has so far played every minute in the Premier League. The Brazilian explained how Pochettino has helped him stay in top condition despite his age.
Pochettino has helped me a lot with my fitness. Not that I was happy, but I was in my comfort zone. Everything seems fine and I feel good, but he manages to get me out of that area.
Thiago Silva has outlined a thorough recovery routine to maintain his performance. But he believes Pochettino recognizes when he needs an extra push physically beyond just routine. The veteran centre-back had not been injured prior to the Argentine’s arrival. However, Pochettino saw an opportunity to take Silva’s fitness to another level this season.
His fresh ideas and tough training helped Silva find an even higher level while challenging Father Time. At an age when most players retire, Silva still sets the standard for Chelsea’s backline. Silva also gave fans a glimpse into his daily life.
