go back in time
Today, as a security coordinator, Lea checks in up to 3,000 colleagues and visitors a day. President and CEO Karen Lynch is a frequent visitor. “She’s very personable,” Lea said, adding that she treats the CEO and cleaners equally politely. As part of her job, Lea also handles her 911 calls and confidential situations.
“As you know, we started when we only had 250 stores, and now we have over 9,000.”
Lea’s first job was in the claims department, where she “manually entered 200 claims a day.” For many years she worked as a merchandising and administrative assistant. “I was using a typewriter then.”
When asked about CVS Health, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, Lea said: “I’m proud. I want people to feel like CVS is a great company, just like I do.”
For words of wisdom, “Treat people as you would like to be treated. They may not remember what you said, but they do remember how you treated them.” ”
Oh, and about Lee’s uncanny ability to remember his name. “There are no cheat sheets,” she affirms. She said, “I don’t even know if she has a photographic memory. I just named her face, she loves her job and loves the people she works with so much that they I remember who I am.”
Thank you, Lea, for helping us celebrate our 60th anniversary by welcoming people to CVS Health. #CVS Heart At Work
