I’ll be honest, I’m terrible at packing. As much as I wish I could be that person who can quickly and confidently pack their bags and saunter to the airport, I just can’t. Instead, my packing process involves spending hours agonizing over what I need and want, which often leaves me overpacked and fretting about what to cut, especially when it comes to my skincare routine.
Packing your essential lotions and toners required you to bend over the bathroom sink, attending to every aspect of your multi-step routine, from squeezing a week’s worth of moisturizer (we assume) into a leaky tube to squinting at the tiny print on a serum bottle to see if it would make it through airport security. Trust me, this is no way to start your vacation.
I thought packing couldn’t get any better until I started using Cadence Capsules in 2022, around the same time they started appearing as recommendations in Wirecutter’s travel gift guides and theme park travel expert Carly Weisel’s must-have list. I recently upgraded to the new six-piece set in a new shape and size, which I put to the test during a nearly two-week vacation around Thailand and Vietnam. Not only was it a breeze to pack, but it also allowed me to pack enough (and stay super hydrated!) to last the entire trip.
While I haven’t tested Cadence Capsules against other travel-sized bottles, I’ve found that the magnetic hexagonal containers are perfect for carrying anything you need, from skincare to jewelry to vitamins. Cadence Capsules haven’t magically turned me into a packing guru, but they have completely transformed what was once the most stressful part of my routine.
