Singapore: Boon Lay bus station transformed into Singapore’s first bus station and gym.
Called Recharge, the prototype will allow commuters to exercise or charge their phones while waiting for the bus.
In an Instagram post on November 23, National Development Minister Desmond Lee said, “This is a simple but meaningful way for residents to get some light exercise and charge their phones while waiting for the bus. It’s a great initiative,” he said.
The project is a grassroots collaboration between the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Land Transport Authority (LTA), Ministry of Health Healthcare Transformation Authority (MOHT) and Boon Lay.
Located at 20 Boon Lay Drive, this is a two-week trial from Nov. 21 to Dec. 5, with vouchers given to those who complete 150 minutes of exercise per week, Lee added. I was.
However, participants must be residents of Boonlay.
