Julie Renée is looking to inspire her followers to get in shape with workout gear. In a new social media post, the bodybuilder shows off her incredible physique in a two-piece set. “Hey I was tired of my crap so I made a change 👇🏼 When I started my fitness journey I tried everything but I always ended up back where I didn’t want to be,” she said, revealing a list of things she used to do. “And now… it’s your turn.” How does she approach diet, fitness and self-care? Here’s everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
In the post, Julia explains that every time she “resolved” to make a change in her life, she actually did the following:
“❌ I gave up because I felt the goal was too big”
❌ I negotiated my commitments with myself
❌ I broke a promise to myself
❌ I thought my lack of success was due to my environment
Peer pressure from friends and family gets in the way of my goals.”
“I finally got tired of my own crap and decided to stop stonewalling, making excuses, playing the victim and putting myself off. I needed to love myself enough to do something about it,” she added.
Julia recently shared her “pre-gym routine” with her followers. First, she says, “I eat a high-carb, low-fat protein meal an hour before training. It gives me the energy I need for training and gives me enough time to digest it so I don’t have to train on a full stomach,” she says. She also brings a full water bottle to the gym to avoid dehydration. Then, she says, “I mix my pre-workout drink, pump, and salt and drink it while I’m lifting. This keeps me energized throughout the lift and helps replenish electrolytes,” she says.
Julia drinks Buff Coffee, which gives her the benefit of caffeine while still getting some protein. “It’s got 18 grams of coffee,” she says. #protein It contains 125mg of caffeine “These are meant to enhance your day and help you achieve your goals – jump-start your morning or pamper yourself in the afternoon, wherever you are,” she said in the post.
in Recent PostsJulia shared some “pro tips” on how to cut calories from your diet. First, she says, cooking with olive oil spray can help you avoid “dousing your food with olive oil calories.” Next, “swap out full-calorie sodas for Propel Zero, sugar-free soda, MIO, or Gatorade Zero.” She also writes, “Don’t be afraid to use sauces, but check the nutritional facts label before pouring sauce on your food; you could be ingesting a ton of extra calories without knowing it.” Finally, “If you’re too busy, order protein in bulk!”
