As a seven-time Mr. Olympia champion, Arnold Schwarzenegger has built one of the most famous physiques in the world. During his bodybuilding heyday, his compound and his lifts were also in excellent condition.in a recent conversation pat mcafee showSchwarzenegger shared PR stats about the Big 3:
“My bench press best was 525, my deadlift best was 710, and my squat best was 610,” he said. “I mean, those were my lifts back then, but I have to say they’re not exactly great compared to what some of today’s bodybuilders and lifters are doing. 700 today, We can say that because we have guys who squat 800 pounds.” We have guys who bench press 600 pounds. ”
“They got really good, but you know, time moves on and people get better all the time. Their muscles are better now, thicker, more defined,” he said. I continued. “So it’s a different time now. But I was very happy with the lift back then, and it helped me grow really fast.”
Although he may not be lifting as much weight these days, Schwarzenegger still famously lifts weights six times a week. “I go to the gym every day, ride my bike to Gold’s Gym, work out for 45 minutes, then ride my bike back,” he said. “That’s what I do every day…remember, if you rest, you get rusty. It’s as simple as that.”
Schwarzenegger, now 76, has accepted that his body will never be the same as it was in the late 70s and early 80s. “It’s the worst,” he told Howard Stern in October, but added: “It still looks better than most bodies.”
