“Ayurveda is our common heritage. All countries can benefit from integrating the traditional science of Ayurveda to complement the ever-evolving techniques of crisis management in modern science,” said Amarjeet Singh Bhamra, Director, Ayurveda Centre of Excellence (ACE), APPG.
He added that Ayurveda’s history of “safe use” to restore innate immunity in individual lives offers a fundamental prevention-oriented approach to public health and wellbeing that is needed for the family of nations.
He said the APPG is organising a conference entitled ‘Ayurveda Summit 2024: Evidence-Based Preventive Medicine I will be attending the conference “Tackling Healthcare Delivery” in London on 24th and 25th October.
“Since its formation in 2014, the APPG has been running events and working with policymakers to integrate Ayurveda and yoga into the health fabric of the UK and Europe,” he said.
ACE and the APPG Indian Traditional Sciences were established to contribute to building capacity needed to maintain national health and to engage with academics and medical professionals from the UK and overseas.
He said preventive health measures would be educated and promoted through various initiatives including workshops, educational programmes, publications, research, awareness campaigns and consultations.
Experts and global statistics report a growing demand for non-invasive medical procedures and an increased responsibility for “self-care” to improve health and avoid illness.

“Traditional wisdom validated by modern science is a key component underpinning the expansion of the ‘wellness industry,'” Amarjeet said.
