There’s nothing better than being at the ballpark. A steady stream of fans watched the team warm up on the field, people pondered whether the Diamondbacks would return to the World Series this year, and heard the familiar “Lemonade, lemonade like grandma made!” As I listened to the refrain, I felt a buzz of excitement. I was also impressed by Chase Field’s state-of-the-art lighting and sound system. And in the quiet moments, there’s something almost spiritual about just sitting in the stands with a hot dog in one hand and a rally towel in the other.
As someone with a severe gluten allergy, one of my favorite things about Chase Field is the “Avoid Gluten Dog.” This can be purchased at the Four Peaks kiosk near Section 139 and his A-Zona Street Tacos near Section 207.
Now, you might look at a gluten-free hot dog and wonder, “What’s so special about it? It’s just franks on a bun.” That’s exactly the point. Gluten-free guests at Chase Field can enjoy a simple frank on bread just like any other guest at the ballpark.
Why I Love Chase Field’s Gluten-Free Hot Dogs
As a longtime Arizona sports fan, I have attended many games since I was a child, from baseball’s Diamondbacks and Cardinals football to basketball’s Suns and Coyotes hockey. When I went gluten-free as a teenager, these happy events suddenly became very stressful because I had to worry about what I was going to eat.
If you’ve been gluten-free for a while, you’ve probably secretly slipped a protein bar into a stadium-approved clear bag, or tried to ignore your stomach’s rumbling as you watch everyone around you munch on Footlong Dogs and churros. You must have experience. .
Some of Arizona’s other stadiums have become more gluten-free friendly in recent years, with State Farm Stadium offering options like salads, fries and nachos. But there’s something nostalgic about Chase Field’s hot dogs that can’t be easily recreated.
So when gluten-free hot dogs were introduced to Chase Field, it felt like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. In fact, I was able to attend matches just like anyone else without having to worry about going hungry.

Not in the mood for a hot dog?
While the “Gluten Avoidance Dog” is my favorite, Chase Field also offers several other options, including cheese pizza from Streets of New York (sections 113, 124, 305, and 318) and a variety of nachos served throughout the stadium. We also offer gluten-free products. .
And of course, many prepackaged snacks, such as original Lays chips and some boxed candies, are also gluten-free.
