“Two years ago I had my first anxiety attack,” Harwood wrote. “It has led to the darkest and most difficult times of my life. You can’t beat anxiety, but you can strive to get better every day.”

The tweet was accompanied by two screenshots, the first of which was posted to Facebook by Harwood on that day in June 2021 when he asked for help after a sleepless night. . Harwood also attached a long post from her app to the note, delving even deeper into how she’s feeling two years later.
“It lasted so long,” Harwood wrote at the time. “Sleepless nights, lots of tears, lots of doctor visits, but I made it through!”
Screenshots also show Harwood thanking everyone he credits for pulling him out of a deep mental pit, and pleading for help with anyone struggling with mental health issues. “Don’t be ashamed of modern medicine,” Harwood wrote, saying that despite its stigma, modern medicine can be an effective tool for combating mental health problems.
“Modern medicine, therapy and prayer all work,” he said. “It will take time, but trust the process.”
