Christina Applegate is speaking out about her current mental health situation while living with multiple sclerosis.
The former “Married with Children” actress’ podcast, “MessyApplegate revealed she suffers from a debilitating depression that leaves her feeling trapped in a dark place.
“I’m really, really depressed, and I’m really, really depressed, and it feels really fatalistic, and it really feels like it’s the end, and it’s kind of scary,” Applegate said. “I don’t mean to, but I’m in a dark place right now that I haven’t felt in probably 20-plus years.”
“I don’t enjoy life. I don’t enjoy it. I don’t enjoy anything anymore,” she added.
The “Don’t Tell Mommy the Babysitter Died” star, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2021, admitted that she was finally forced to speak to a therapist to address the issues she’s been having since her diagnosis.
“MeSsy” is co-hosted by former “The Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who announced in 2016 that she had been battling multiple sclerosis since she was 20 years old.
