You may have heard about the new PACT law that affects millions of veterans. This law allows the VA to be exposed to environmental toxins, such as Agent Orange in Vietnam, burning pits in Iraq and Afghanistan, or other places around the world where veterans have served, or from exposure to radiation. More services can be provided to more veterans and survivors.
The expansion of veterans’ benefits and service eligibility is massive and every veteran should check to see if it affects them. www.va.gov/PACTThere you can review your eligibility for all countries, competitions, terms and other information to determine your next steps.

Applying for VA Compensation Benefits

Are you enrolled in VA Healthcare?
online or print and mail | | walk-in | | Call 1-800-MyVA411
VA Healthcare and entitlements have been expanded for veterans exposed to toxic substances and for veterans of the Vietnam, Gulf War, and post-9/11 eras. Veterans will be screened for toxic exposures during Veteran Health Care appointments to evaluate additional health or welfare options.
Join the Toxic Exposure Registry
agent orange | | burn pit | | uranium | | Gulf War | | toxic fragment
The exposure register is based on a medical examination per cited environmental exposure. The VA’s Health Registry Assessment is a free, voluntary medical assessment for veterans who may have been exposed to certain environmental hazards, and the registry data helps the VA to more effectively address environmental health issues. Helps you understand (and respond to). Adding your information to these registries will not create a disability claim.
