A construction company in Burntwood has partnered with a charity to put mental health in the spotlight.
Tara Group partnered with the Lighthouse Club to highlight the support offered to those working in the construction industry.
research by National Statistics Office shows that mental health concerns are very pressing for people within the sector, as workers in the construction industry are three times more likely to commit suicide than workers in other sectors.
During the three-day event, employees from group companies (Cameron Homes, Keon Homes, Chasetown Civil Engineering) took the Lighthouse Club’s Help Inside the Hard Hat tour.

The initiative comes after Tara Group People Advisor Jo Mann was invited to chair the Home Builders Federation’s Mental Health Group.

“By providing resources, encouragement and a listening ear, the Lighthouse Club team has been able to speak to the majority of Tara Group employees over the past three days.”
