Dr. Nicholas Banks, 75, of Jacksonville, died suddenly on the evening of Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Dr. Nick Banks lost his parents and daughter Emily Banks.
Dr. Nick Banks graduated from residencies at Groton Hight School, Groton, MA, Yale University, New Haven, CT, Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, MD Anderson, Houston, TX, and a fellowship with Diagnostic Ultrasound. Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nicholas Banks served with the LCDR US Navy Medical Corp at the Naval Submarine Center in Groton, Connecticut.
Dr. Nicholas Banks began his medical career in 1979 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville.
Dr. Nick Banks will be greatly missed by those who knew him medically and those who worked with him. Nick and Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and enjoying local dining clubs. Nick will be missed by the friends he has enjoyed over the years.
Dr. Nicholas Banks is survived by his wife Elizabeth and the children from his life, Nancy, Katie, Mary Elizabeth (Greg), Thomas, and grandchildren Drake, Chase, Isabella, Paisley, and Henry.
A memorial service will be held on December 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Cathedral, 256 E. Church Street, Jacksonville, with Reverend Gee Alexander.
A reception will follow.
