You can perform this as a standalone workout, doing 6-8 repetitions over 2-3 rounds, or you can add some exercises to your existing routine.

Benefits of strengthening your hip flexors
Stretching the hip joint can relieve tension and improve mobility, but it doesn’t address the root cause of the problem.
“Incorporating exercises that strengthen your hip flexors into your daily routine can counteract the negative effects. Sitting for long periods of time improves your posture and reduces your risk of injury,” says McCaffrey.
Additionally, strengthening your hips can improve your body’s movement in daily life and help offset the natural effects that aging has on your hips.
“Strong hip flexors are the foundation of a healthy, active lifestyle,” McCaffrey added. “Don’t neglect these important muscles.”
