Dáithí Ó Sé has revealed how she overcame a ‘monstrous phobia’ that she suffered from for 31 years…and this wasn’t on our 2024 bingo card!
The RTÉ presenter, 48, admitted he hadn’t been to dental surgery since he was 17 and said his extreme fear of going to the dentist “haunted me”. [him] for a long time”.
The Kerry native was able to visit the dentist for the first time in 31 years, making it his first trip as an adult. He recorded his visit but revealed that he felt nothing and didn’t remember anything, so he had to be “sedated” for the appointment.
Daiti shared a selfie with her dentist from the dentist’s chair and wrote, “31 years since I went to the dentist.” I had extreme phobias and real fears. That’s no longer the case. ”
He posted the photo on social media while sharing about his first trip and wrote:
“I was scared to go anywhere near dental surgery. I was sedated so I didn’t feel anything and I can honestly say I don’t remember anything. Thanks to Dr. Alma @galwaydentalgroup.”
The people blessed Daiti and sympathized with Daiti’s dental anxiety, saying, “Jesus, I am the same, and I am sure that I have the fear of God in me.”
