“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” may actually contain some truth, researchers say. He conducted a review of more than 150 studies to reach the conclusions of a team of experts.

Researchers concluded that apples along with some fruits tea — Consuming these things daily can help protect your heart health.

Professor Gunter Kuhnle, a nutrition expert at the University of Reading, asserted that flavan-3ols can promote health.

Dietary recommendations are usually meant to prevent nutritional deficiencies. Doctors want to make sure people are getting essential minerals, vitamins and fats.

Several studies have proven that flavan-3-ols have significant health benefits and can help you stay healthy. It also protects people from disease, which researchers say was the main reason they investigated this compound.

An international team funded by the American Academy of Nutrition and Nutrition analyzed data from 157 randomized controlled trials and 15 cohort studies.

Since bioactive chemicals have been found to be associated with lowering blood pressure, they have also been associated with lowering the risk of heart attacks and strokes, which in turn keeps the cardiovascular system healthy.

The chemical lowers blood sugar levels, which can reduce the chance of eye and nerve damage.

“We recommend consuming 400mg to 600mg of flavan 3-ols per day to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease,” says Dr. Kuhnle.

“It is much more effective to take a daily dose as a healthy food or drink rather than taking it as a supplement.”
