The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to conduct fitness tests on four national team players ahead of the second Test match against England starting October 15 in Multan.

Sources said Kamran Ghulam, Zahid Mahmood, Imam-ul-Haq and Nauman Ali have been summoned to Multan for a fitness evaluation scheduled to be conducted today.

Before the series opener, Nauman and Zahid were dropped from the squad for the first Test as they failed to meet the required fitness standards.

Additionally, sources revealed that spinner Abrar Ahmed, who was excluded from the second Test, is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

It is noteworthy that England defeated Pakistan in the first Test in Multan by an innings and 47 runs. Pakistan, who started at 152/6, were bowled out for 220 with Salman Ali Agha as the top scorer (63). Jack Leach took four wickets for England while Aamir Jamal remained unbeaten with 55 wickets.

The second Test will be crucial for Pakistan as they look to bounce back from the loss in the first Test, which gave England a 1-0 lead in the series.
