Chapel Lorne was destined to be a star, but her rapid rise to fame took a toll on her mental health.

Just one year after the release of her debut studio album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” the “Pink Pony Club” singer, who has had a number of songs land on the US Hot 100 chart, has admitted that she was recently diagnosed with severe depression.

“I’m in therapy twice a week,” Loan told The Guardian. “I went to a psychiatrist last week because I didn’t know what was going on and she diagnosed me with severe depression. I didn’t think I was depressed because I wasn’t actually sad, but I have all the symptoms of someone with severe depression.”

Roan, whose full name is Kaylee Rose Amstutz, admitted to having foggy brains, forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating and “very poor perspective.”

“I think it’s because my whole life has changed,” she says. “Now, everything I really love to do comes with a burden.”

She added: “If I want to go thrift shopping I have to book a security guard and know that this is not the norm. How can I go to the park, do pilates or yoga and be safe without being stalked or harassed?”

Last month, Loan made headlines after scolding an over-zealous photographer on the MTV VMAs red carpet.

“I’m tired of all this celebrity,” she said. “Some women have been in this business long enough that they’re used to it, but I’m not that woman. I’m not going to be a slob for a man who tells me to shut up.”

She knows some fans aren’t interested in the conversation, but that doesn’t stop her from telling the truth. “They think I’m complaining about my success,” she says. “I’m just complaining about being mistreated.”

However, her grief may feel like it is eating away at her.

“Every time I walk through the front door, the tears come to my eyes,” she says. “I just start crying, and I can’t help it. I’m either angry at myself for choosing this path, or sad that some of the curiosity and genuine wonder I had about the world has been taken away from me.”

Roan noticed that several stars had asked how she was doing.

“I was warned that I would feel like I was going through puberty again. My body definitely feels different,” she said. “I feel tension in a totally different way. I’m full of new emotions and it’s really confusing. It’s the same feeling I had when I was 12.”

“I [Lady] Gaga and Sabrina [Carpenter] Lana [Del Rey] When I see them out in public, I can’t imagine how much preparation went into that.”

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer previously accused some fans of stalking, harassing and being “predatory” in a scathing social media post.

“After working nonstop on projects for the past decade, I’ve had to draw lines and set boundaries. I want to remain an artist forever,” she wrote.

“Let me be clear: women do not owe you anything. I chose this profession because I love music and the arts and I honor the child within me. I do not accept or deserve harassment of any kind for choosing this path.”

She added, “Please stop touching me. Please stop acting weird with my family and friends. Please stop making assumptions about me. There is always more to the story and I am scared and tired. And please don’t call me Kaylee,” referring to her real first name. “I feel more love than I’ve ever felt in my life. I feel more anxiety than I’ve ever felt in my life.”
