7 Ayurvedic superfood that you can have every day – follow list and get fit! | Health News

Ayurvedic Superfoods: Superfoods broadly refer to foods that are rich in nutrients and have minimal calories. So who wouldn’t want to have them? While there have been criticisms that the term was coined for marketing purposes to influence certain food trends and sell products, many of these items are , is known to show great health benefits at the cost of adding minimal calories. There are plenty of Indian superfoods you can trust – and they are readily available.

Ayurvedic expert Dr. Rekha Radhamony recently shared a post on Instagram about 7 Ayurvedic superfoods you can eat every day. In her post, she notes that certain Ayurvedic foods are “universally good for everyone every day.”She mentions these seven superfoods:

  1. amla
  2. pomegranate
  3. ghee
  4. moongdal
  5. Honey
  6. black raisins
  7. Soft radish



So let’s take a look at the health benefits of these superfoods.

Amla: Vitamin C-rich amla or Indian gooseberries are known for their anti-aging and immune-boosting properties.

pomegranate: Rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals, pomegranates have many health benefits. It boosts immunity, helps fight type 2 diabetes, and keeps blood pressure down.

Ghee: Our grandmothers were right when they claimed we needed ghee! Studies have shown that adding ghee to your diet lowers the glycemic index of foods. Nutritionists like Rujuta Diwekar, who is best known for helping Kareena Kapoor Khan achieve her stunning figure, swear by ghee.

Mungdal: Rich in iron, potassium and magnesium, moong dal is a very popular Indian superfood. It is rich in dietary fiber, so it aids digestion. Some studies have shown that this dal improves glucose tolerance as it has a low glycemic index and is therefore suitable for diabetics. It is also good for the heart and improves blood circulation.

Honey: Honey has many health benefits. Raw honey is a rich source of antioxidants called polyphenols. Consuming a tablespoon daily can provide many health benefits. Make sure you buy good quality organic honey.

Black raisins: Rich in vitamins, dietary fiber, and minerals, black raisins are good for anemia sufferers, help rid the body of harmful toxins, and even help improve heart health.

Soft radish: Rich in antioxidants and minerals such as calcium and potassium, radishes are known to help lower heart disease and high blood pressure.
