Every year, my New Year’s resolution was to lose weight. That resolution never saw the light of day, but this role motivated me and I started watching what I ate.”
She further added that she became motivated when she started seeing results: “Once I started seeing results I was like, ‘Wow, this is addictive’. From now on I’m going to wear the clothes I’ve always wanted to wear and look the way I want to look. Everyone is restless, overworked and stressed, especially in a city like Mumbai. It’s important to have time for yourself, take your mornings easy, meditate. This is very important and take it easy on yourself about everything. Otherwise you get agitated, restless and stay up late, which is not good for us. Taking it easy is good.”

When you work hard and you don’t wake up lazy in the morning, the other side of your brain tells you, ‘Yes, yes, yes’. I am happy and proud of what I have achieved. It’s not hard to lose weight but it’s hard to maintain it. But now it’s been a year since I’ve been able to maintain it.”

She laughs and says, “I still get scared when I go on holiday that I’ll break my diet, but my yoga teacher tells me not to overeat or overdo it. ‘Khaao par paet bharke mat khaao’ so I follow that.”
