Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer reveals how to transform your body and improve your mental health in just five minutes a day.

Greca founded the app Werisea female empowerment platform that takes a holistic approach to health, wellness and personal development, she stresses the importance of persistence for anyone wanting to start or restart their fitness journey.

“I always tell people to start small,” she told Shetty. “You want to climb the mountain one step at a time. Start with five minutes and build that habit.”

Greca argues that developing a daily habit requires determination, not motivation.

“Start with something achievable,” she continued. “Five minutes a day one week, 10 minutes a day the next week, and build from there. Then it becomes more achievable.”

Five minutes of effort may not produce dramatic results, but Greca argues that starting small and sticking to it can help build a strong foundation for fitness.

“Once you start creating a habit, that’s the key to making fitness a lifelong activity,” she said on the podcast. “You won’t see results in the short term, but those five minutes will set you up for success.”

Greca emphasizes that two principles for sustaining success are accessibility and routine. She points out that scheduling your workouts at the same time every day is important to stay on track.

“There is no specific ‘best time to exercise’. When do you feel most energetic? What time suits your life and lifestyle best? I would recommend beginners to exercise in the morning so it’s less disruptive and less left to chance,” she added.

Greca also suggests creating an environment that supports your training, such as by designating a dedicated fitness space in your home and preparing your gym clothes the night before. “This takes another step out of the equation,” she explains.

What can you do in five minutes? As well as forming the foundation for a lifelong commitment, Greca says that a few minutes of walking or running followed by some squats and deadlifts is a great place to start.

“You’re targeting the largest muscles in your body, so a few rows will cover several movements,” she said.

When working out at home, anything can become gym equipment, says Greca: “Use your own body weight, even doing hip thrusts with your shoulders on the couch.”

She jokes that even children can be fitness tools: “Grab them, put them on your waist and do hip thrusts. I’m a big believer that anything you have in your house can be used for exercise. It’s doable.”

Greca, who likes to work out at home or at the gym, credits meditation, journaling and gratitude practices with helping her support her body, mind and spirit.

Greca said Kardashian, 43, is one of her most dedicated clients and always up for a challenge.

“She shows up on time, ready to go, and never complains or runs away,” Greca enthused.

For Greca, training a celebrity client like Kardashian is less about the prestige and more about the clout: Having battled an eating disorder and “training for the wrong reasons”, spreading a message of balance, nutrition and strength is paramount.

“I believe working with such influential people will impact more people,” she confessed.

“Through them, I’m able to send a message to women that strength is beautiful, and strength is confidence,” she continued. “If I can send that message, especially to young women, then my purpose is fulfilled.”
