Pandya’s typical off-field routine includes a mix of yoga and strength training. “I wake up between 7-8 am, play Hanuman Chalisa seven times, take a cold shower to freshen up and wake up, do yoga for 55 minutes to an hour, then meditate for 30 minutes. My gym session runs from 11.30 am to 1 pm,” he told ESPN.

The right-arm fast bowler Pandya said his lunch break is also the only time he watches TV. “I take a 15-minute break (after a training session) and then have lunch while watching TV. It’s a 45-minute break. After that, I have a one-hour nap, and then I stretch and have my second session in the gym from 4 pm to around 6.30 pm. I reach home by 7 pm, read or write in my diary and go to bed by 9.30 pm.”
