Construction is underway at the David Lloyd Club in Marham Park, Bury St Edmunds, after plans were given the green light in July last year.
The new center in west Suffolk will create 75 new jobs.
A company spokesperson said they hope to open by winter 2024.
Stuart Caswell, Director of New Club Acquisitions at David Lloyd Clubs, said:
“Although the new club is not scheduled to open until this winter, this is great news as we have already received a number of inquiries from people interested in joining.
“Offering a wide range of premium health and wellness facilities, our new club has something for people of all ages to enjoy and we look forward to welcoming the local community in 2024.”
New facilities include a 100-plus station gym, heated pool, padel courts, and a variety of exercise classes.
