Fitness studio True40 is opening its second location in the Birmingham area. The Edge at Homewood.
The Edge, Homewood’s multi-functional outdoor gathering space, will be located in the 800 block of Greensprings Highway and feature food, beverage, fitness, retail and entertainment experiences.
True40 We offer high-intensity, low-impact exercises inspired by barre, functional strength training, Pilates, and yoga. The Method was founded in Auburn in 2016 and has studios in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn.
The Homewood store will occupy 2,007 square feet within The Edge’s 5,000 square foot Phase 2 space and will be dedicated to fitness and retail. A small retail store with customizable ground floor space for future partners will also remain available.
“We waited and trusted that the right fit for our next location would present itself at the right time,” said True40 Studio CEO Kaitlyn Bentley. “The Edge is a great opportunity for us and we are excited to be added to the local owner-operator family. We look forward to bringing the magic of our community for athletics to the West Homewood area. I’m excited to be able to do that.”
Other tenants announced are Corbeau Wine Bar, Baba Java Coffee, Popbar, The Standard, The Que*Bicle, Shin Ramen Noodles, Asian Cuisine and Cookie Plug.
JJ Thomas, co-owner of The Edge, called True40 “a great addition.”
