The fitness competition, which will be held over three days in April, aims to raise money for charities that financially support cancer research.
Since its establishment in 2013, Alive Charitable Foundation has raised over €820,000 for cancer research and supported numerous postgraduate degrees.
The latest event, “Jungle Box x Warehouse Hyrocks Challenge”, held with the aid of the Foundation, raised 5,000 euros in one day in September 2023. The High Rocks Challenge will run for three days (April 19th to 21st) with all proceeds going to the Foundation.
Alive Charitable Foundation said: era of marta The challenge consists of a timed fitness event covering an 8km run divided into eight exercise segments including rowing, weighted lunges and sled pushing. This challenge will take each participant between 90 and 120 minutes to complete and you can sign up to participate as singles, doubles, or mixed doubles.
There are no age restrictions and there are courses for children.
The foundation last transferred funding to the Research, Innovation and Development Trust at the end of 2023, with four two-year projects starting in January. Among others, research in these projects will revolve around lung cancer immunotherapy antibodies, aggressive brain tumor, and colorectal cancer detection.
Ahead of the event, Jungle Box co-owner Raissa Camilleri said the challenge is not just about fitness, but “pushing boundaries, fostering community spirit, and contributing to a cause that truly matters.” He said it was a thing.
Similarly, Leanne Bartolo, co-organizer and owner of Warehouse Fitness Studio, said the event is an expanded platform to enhance participants’ personal and collective achievements.
