Tripping Kosher:
There is a very cute cafe that you will be excited to find. It’s small, it’s in Brooklyn, and it’s called Bou’ote.
We had a great looking grilled cheese, a French yonnaise style baked potato with a poached egg, and a kreplach. You know you can’t resist eating gyoza. This is a restaurant with lots of fun Parisian dishes.
Bou’ote also has a menu of sandwiches, but we tasted the egg sandwich and tuna sandwich. They also have a French-influenced babka that is dense and has all the right moves. They crush the kosher food scene with dairy products and use only the finest selections.
Bou’ote is under the supervision of OK Kosher.
Aside from the great food it serves, Bou’ote is a sweet, quaint space that feels like an old-school Jewish deli. But we think of it as a fine dining restaurant disguised as a small, coquettish cafe.
We sat outside and enjoyed the Crown Heights air and delicious kosher food. We considered keeping this spot a secret, but we wanted everyone to share this bootyful experience with us.
