Chef Eyal Shani opened his first kosher restaurant on New York City's Upper West Side in Malka less than two months ago. It is almost impossible to make reservations on Marca. We have such busy nights that we often run out of food before the night is over.
Perhaps as a result of its popularity at Malka, the group that manages Chef Eyal Shani's restaurants has decided on the Misnon kosher location in Times Square.
The small, fast-casual Mizunon location at 1410 Broadway originally opened in early November 2023. Now, after the kitchen has been kasherized, it will be converted into a kosher restaurant under the supervision of Rabbi Melman (National Kosher Director). Over the next few weeks. Rabbi Melman expects the first day of kosher business to be January 21 or 22, 2024.
It is important to note that Mitsunon operates numerous restaurants in six major cities around the world, including New York City, Boston, as well as Vienna, Tel Aviv, Singapore, Melbourne, Paris, and London. At this time, only Miznon in Times Square is kosher, in addition to UWS's sister restaurant Malka. Rabbi Melman said the restaurant will include the word “kosher” in Hebrew on its marquee sign in front of the restaurant, and on its menu and website to distinguish it as the only kosher Miznon. acknowledged. The restaurant is meat only and 100% glatt kosher with experienced mashgichim temidim.
Mitsunon's menu is full of overstuffed pita sandwiches, including falafel burgers, ribeye steaks, wild mushrooms, steak and eggs, rotisserie broken chicken, “umburgers,” chicken livers, kebabs, schnitzel, and fish and chips. “Pita cut” options include baby cauliflower, batata, lamb kebabs, ratatouille and more.
