This Banana Breakfast Smoothie Tastes Like Vacay

by Universalwellnesssystems

SSometimes all you need is a vacation…after a vacation. That’s exactly what I experienced a few weeks ago while visiting my hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This voyage crammed almost a year’s worth of catching up with family and friends into just a few days to get away from the whole story. (Are you really visiting your family? Until now Can it be considered a relaxing vacation? looking for friends! )

Don’t get me wrong. It may be tiring, but there are few things more satisfying than spending quality time with your loved ones. But to be honest I was so relieved as I was planning a vacation soon. Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa— just a short drive north of Fort Lauderdale — at the end of our return trip. It’s the perfect time to escape the post-travel blues and enjoy a moment of genuine relaxation.

A gentle breath of fresh air

While visiting this resort (overlooking the pristine, crystal clear waters of Manalapan, a beautiful small town in Palm Beach County), I had the opportunity to recharge and enjoy some much-needed “me” time.

When describing Eau Palm Beach, they say it’s an intimate ocean retreat. It’s a great place to breathe fresh air, have a chance to refresh and rediscover time. There is no more suitable place.

The hotel is set on 7 oceanfront acres with a private beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Being on the east coast, we are blessed with spectacular sunrises each morning as the sun slowly rises over the glass-calm waters. On the horizon, you can see paddleboarders crossing the water and, if you’re lucky, dolphins swimming alongside.

Frankly, we could have spent the entire day soothed by the small waves lapping methodically against the shore from one of the hotel’s many oceanfront vantage points. Some of my favorite things to do were eating the best *unlimited* chocolate chip cookies ever, my balcony room designed by Jonathan Adler, the “Club Lounge” and eating them while doing yoga on the lawn. That being said, I felt most at peace connecting with the beautiful outdoors while snorkeling just off the coast using snorkel gear purchased from a poolside kiosk. The amount of juvenile fish I saw It was amazing and really made you feel like you were in Florida again.

A chance to refresh your mind

As a food writer, I’m always concerned about food. This is a blessing in disguise, considering Eau Palm Beach has a plethora of restaurants. There’s a classic steakhouse. angle; Adventure, an intimate chef-led omakase experience.and PolpoServes Italian cuisine.

How to make it: Mix 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup almond milk, half a banana, 1 heaped tablespoon of ground flaxseed (an omega-3 fatty acid), and 1/4 cup ice until smooth. And creamy.

That being said, sometimes the simplest dishes remain the longest in the memory. This time, for me, it was the brunch at Polpo that sealed the deal. Crab eggs benedict, *smoothie* flights, and a brûlée (!) mango fruit plate — need I say more? Of course, they leave you hanging without even tasting a bit of what they have to offer I have no intention of doing so.

How to make an easy banana breakfast smoothie rich in omega-3s that tastes like vacation

Here’s Eau’s simple and nutritious PB + Banana Smoothie recipe that will make you feel like you’re soaking up the Florida sun in the morning.

How to make it: Mix 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup almond milk, half a banana, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (hello, Omega), and 1/4 cup ice until smooth and creamy. .

Well, a tip I learned from the lovely team at Eau Palm Beach is, why choose one smoothie flavor when you can have them all? So from now on, when we have brunch at my house, I’ll be offering smoothie flights featuring every delicious smoothie combination I can think of so everyone can try them all (and… You can also enjoy nutritional benefits).
