what will you do
To tone your arms, celebrity personal trainer Nadia Fairweather (u-shape.co.uk) suggests alternating downward dog touchbacks.
Start in a high plank position with your shoulders over your hands and your feet hip-width apart. Make sure your upper body position is solid.
Without dragging your hands back, push your butt into the air and push your weight back. Touch your right shin or foot with your right hand. Shift your weight forward and return to a high plank position.
Repeat with your left hand touching your right shin or foot. Continue alternating from left to right.
Beginners should start with 4 taps, rest, and try sets of 10. An intermediate person should train for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, and do 8 sets. Advanced users should aim to do 3 to 5 sets of 1 minute with 10 seconds of rest in between.
what should i eat
According to nutritionist Laura Biggs (togetherhealth.co.uk), losing arm fat won’t happen overnight. However, a proper diet will help you turn fat into muscle, so be patient.
Fiber-rich foods, such as nuts, seeds, whole grains, and fruit, keep you fuller for longer, so you snack less. Also include protein-rich foods such as eggs, fatty fish, and lean meats.
Cutting back on processed and sugary foods can also help, as excess sugar can lead to increased insulin levels, which can cause calories to be stored as fat.
Increasing your water intake can also help you lose arm fat by making you feel fuller and temporarily boosting your metabolism.
