Yes you read correctly! Naftali Abenaim, kosher restaurateur and owner of a franchise of mocha brands, which includes Mocha Blue, Mocha Red and Mocha Burger, confirmed the addition of the luxury outlets. Mokaba Garlux, announced earlier this year that the upscale burger and steakhouse combo would be opening in midtown Manhattan. The regular meat menu includes a standout: the 24K gold-plated Golden His Burger.
The burger will be a 12oz short rib burger wrapped in 24k gold foil. Grilled and topped with Australian black truffles, crunchy onions & chips, sauces and pickles. But that’s where it starts. Burgers are brought to your table in a custom hand-carved wooden chest that, when opened, emits smoke and a light illuminates the plate.
dramatic? yes.
Are you overdoing it? To say the least.
But Abenaim acknowledged that the meal isn’t about burgers, but rather about the theater and experience it creates.
It definitely sounds like an experience, but whether or not it’s worth it will have to be decided when the location officially opens at 4 E46 Street, NY in a few weeks.
